I am so excited about our journey together in Passionate Prayer. We are going to spend the next 30 days going deeper in our life of prayer with the Lord. I define prayer as walking and talking with God. As we walk and talk with Him daily, we grow in our intimate relationship with the Lord. It’s an adventure - I like to call it the great adventure of knowing God. This week we will begin with the Introduction and Week 1 - Days 1-6. Each day you will read and then write responses on the daily “My Response” page. I encourage you to interact with everything you read, look up the most significant verses mentioned in the chapters (underline them in your own Bible), and then pray, pray, pray. Talk with your Lord about everything that is on your heart. It will be exciting to see what the Lord does in our lives as we take this journey together into a life of passionate prayer.

I reside in Palm Desert, California with my husband Marc. We just celebrated our 33rd anniversary. We have two children and two grandsons. I serve on staff at Southwest Community Church in Indian Wells, California. I am an avid reader and writer; a lover of books. My heart belongs to the Lord. I have read Passionate Prayer several months ago but I am so very excited to go through it again in this format. A heart that walks and talks with the Lord is a trusting heart in the One who guides and directs every intimate detail of life.

Hi! My name is Meron Tekleberhan. I live in Ethiopia, Africa. I am married and a mother of two. I am very excited about being able to study Passionate Prayer with a group! I have never had the chance to study one of Catherine’s books in a group before, since they are not readily available in my country. My walk with God was completely transformed by my study of Six Secrets To A Powerful Quiet Time, which showed me how to spend time with God in a manner I could relate to. Ladies you might want to read Andrew Murray’s “With Christ in the School of Prayer” when you finish this study…Enlightening…Cath had us read it during our last Bible Study session… God Bless ALL…
I can’t find my study book. I just have the Quiet Time Experience(Passionate Prayer) book in my bookshelf. I will continue to look and if I don’t find it I will try and buy another one. So if I get a little behind please bear with me.

Polly, No worries. You can order online from Amazon, Christianbook.com or from Quiet Time Ministries. Also, as I shared in one of the posts, you can also get the Kindle version and just download Kindle for Mac or Kindle For PC. When you do the online version I don’t think you have the option to actually mark or make highlights - only read. So you wouldn’t be able to write in it as you would the book version. That’s the only drawback from the ebook version. Anyhow, don’t worry. We will all be at different places in the journey but can still share what the Lord is teaching us. In His Love, Catherine
